Sliding across the freshly mopped, yet slippery, and smooth hard wood floor in nothing more than one of Forrest's dress shirts, as well as her new, and favorite black, lacy thong, as well as a pair of sunglasses, an angelic voice could be heard singing none other than the classic song that made Tom Cruise a star in the movie 'Risky Business'.
"Just take those old records off the shelf,
I'll sit and listen to 'em by myself,
Today's music ain't got the same soul,
I like that old time rock and roll"
A grin appeared across the young brunette's face, her nose wrinkling up in that adorably childish matter while her voice carried on the tune of the song which blasted throughout the luxurious condo. Her voice had been the topic of many conversations, an angelic sound that mesmerized any victim that might have been caught in her violent storms of tempers, otherwise soothing any ears that picked up it's sound, relaxing the person exposed to it.
"Don't try and take me to a disco,
You'll never even get me out on the floor,
In ten minutes I'll be late for the door,
I like that old time rock and roll"
Colbie Corey danced around the room, no doubt creating quite an entertaining act for Forrest who seemed uninterested in joining her in her crazy, and unexpected acts. If there was one good thing you could say about the relationships Colbie involved herself in, whether they were for love or friendship, it would be that she always kept things interesting and alive. She'd always come up with a new and exciting idea or plan to make people smile, allow them to have a good time.
"Still like that old time rock and roll,
That kind of music just soothes my soul,
I reminisce about the days of old,
With that old time rock and roll"
Tonight, Colbie had decided to do a reanactment of a scene from the movie "Risky Business" starring none other than Tom Cruise himself. He'd recently become famous through tabloids for his odd religion theories and beliefs, as well as his behavior in certain situations. Tonight, however, he'd inspired Colbie with yet another method on how to keep Forrest smiling, as well as how to keep that spark of light alive in their relationship.
Smirking at the unactive Forrest, Colbie danced her way over to him, straddling herself on top of his lap. still singing into an invisible microphone while searching his blue eyes, as deep as oceans, as secretive as a locked door, as open as a meadow or field, and as dangerous as a venomous snake.
"Won't go and hear 'em play a tango,
I'd rather hear some blues or funky old soul,
There's only one sure way to get me to go,
Start playin' old time rock and roll"
Colbie had always been amazing in the fact that even after a huge rave, she could still harbor a ton of energy, ready and willing to play as many unsupervised, undisturbed, adult games with Forrest as they could possibly fit into one night.
Tonight, she'd told her parents she was spending the night at Ridley's. It wasn't uncommon for her to lie to her parents about where she'd be when she felt the need to spend the night with her boyfriend of at least nine years, give or take. It wasn't that Colbie loved the idea of lying to her parents, however, as much as they respected and adored their daughters boyfriend, it wasn't proper, they'd state, for a young girl of sixteen to be spending the night alone in her nineteen year old boyfriend's condo. As an only child, Colbie was protected more than she would have liked to be.
"Still like that old time rock and roll,
That kind of music just soothes my soul,
I reminisce about the days of old,
With that old time rock and roll"
Still singing her haunting tone in an upbeat melody, Colbie had felt surprised that he hadn't tried to interrupt her this far into the song with a kiss, or interrupting sentence, and so, for tonight, her invisible microhone, had become her favorite toy, or object. It was truly amazing how adorably childish she could act in the maturest of ways. She was adorable, and no one had denied this fact for sixteen years.
